Electoral Commission rolls out SMS Platform

The Electoral Commission wishes to inform the general public that the SMS platform it has put in place to enable registered voters access their registration details will be activated on Friday 18th September to Friday 25th September 2020. Prospective voters should simply text their voter ID number to short code 1422 on all networks to access their details.  Voters who accessed the service before the commencement date that, will have their details sent to them once the service is activated. It is not necessary to re-access the service.  REMEMBER : Voters are to send their ID number to the code 1422 to access their details. Cost of sms is 30Gp Read the press statement below :

How crucifixion was done in the Roman empire

  The Romans designed the crucifixion to be very humiliating, torturous, a surefire method of execution. No one in  history survived a full Roman crucifixion. A whip called flagrum was designed to rip the skin off the body and cause excessive bleeding. Dr Joseph Boakye Danquah  Was born on December 18th,1895 in Bepong, Kwahu in the Eastern region of Ghana. Dr JB Danquah began schooling at the Basel Mission school at Kyibi then to Basel Senior School at Begoro all in the Eastern region of Ghana.    On 4th February, 1965,Dr Joseph Boakye (JB) Danquah, one of Ghana's statesmen, a member of the Big Six, a lawyer, an author, a Chief and playwright, died in Nsawam prison of a heart attack for allegedly being implicated in a plot against the President-Kwame Nkrumah in 1964.  Dr JB Danquah is famous for undertaking the research that gave Gold Coast its new name-Ghana when it attained independence in 1957. He also played an important role in the establishment of the University of Ghana, the premier and largest university in Ghana.
