10 THINGS YOU'LL REGRET AT AGE 60

10 THINGS YOU'LL REGRET AT AGE 60 Some say old age is not how old you are but how many fun you have had. Inasmuch as we young people will one day grow old, that day seems to be far far in the future. Many old men and women are bedridden with underlying health conditions, some blind, some unable to walk/talk properly and unfortunately some living in poor conditions making them beggars. Sadly speaking, several cities in Ghana are filled with our old men and women engaged in different vigorous economic activities like buying and selling, shoe repairs, wheelbarrow pushers and some picking empty pure water sachets to sell among many others at the mercy of the harsh weather condition they find themselves in.    This poses many questions to be asked whenever one sees them in their miserable conditions on the streets like: 1.How did they live their youthful years? 2.Where are their children? 3.Do they have family ? 4.What's the government responsibility to the aged?  Among many other

MEET THE MOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER

A picture circulating on social media of a mother carrying her child on her back whiles discharging her photography duties has caught the attention and admiration of many social media users. Lots of them have praised this mother for the love for her child and job. Additionally, the picture also depicts the love and support our mothers have showed us from time immemorial. It is not surprising that mother's day is widely celebrated by majority of people globally.  I believe this picture will go a long way to inspire young mothers to sacrifice more for their ward. See the picture below.

IS GAMBLING SINFUL?

IS GAMBLING SINFUL? Gambling or "gaming" for stakes is becoming increasingly popular. A person can bet by lottery, casino, poker, slot machines, raffles, office pools, sports wagers, or online betting.  But is gambling moral or immoral according to the Bible? Should a Christian gamble? What does the Bible say? What about gambling addiction?  Introduction:  Gambling is big business. Consider the following facts: Americans gamble more money each year than they spend on groceries! * In Mississippi more money is spent on betting than on all retail sales combined. 85% of young people have already become gamblers. Usually the people who gamble the most are the people who can afford it the least: the poor and the elderly. [All statistics cited are from Dr. James Dobson, who served on the National Gambling Impact Study Commission, whose report was issued in 1999.] The purpose of this study is to consider whether or not gambling is morally acceptable. We hope to discuss what constit

100 YEARS FROM NOW

100 YEARS FROM NOW 100 years from now will be the year 2120. By then, every single reader of this piece will be underground, our bodies having become part of the soil. During that time, our fate in respect to paradise or hell would have been made known to us.  Meanwhile above the soil, our houses that were left behind would have become either homes for others or demolished for better structures. Our clothes would have become destroyed or rags for others and replaced by more recent trends; our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others or recycled for more advanced technology.  But for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. Think of it, how often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind? You see! Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countle

KUMERICA:THE NEW TREND

KUMERICA:THE NEW TREND Creativity they say does not wait for the right moment. One would have thought that in the midst of a global pandemic which has frustrated world leaders, there leaves much to be desired of creativity.  However, this is not the case. We woke up one day to the hearing of 'KUMERICA' a creative way of saying Kumasi has won the admiration of large section of Ghana’s population and even those in the disapora with many social media users garnishing it in their own way. My little research on this topic revealed that it originated from the Ashanti region, the second capital of Ghana after Accra by a group of young men who call themselves KUMERICAN MOVEMENT. This is nonpartisan movement. The nationalistic movement motive is to reminisce the good old days they (Ashantis) used to dress, walk, play among others.  Surprisingly, the group's intention was not to rename the various cities of Ashanti region to American states like the Manhyia Palace(Seat of the As
